Programmable Finance

Programmable finance is often presented as a smart-contract story. It is really a settlement story: what changes when the rules governing an asset execute deterministically, without an intermediary interpreting them. This is where I write about contract design, settlement guarantees, and the practical difference between programmability that institutions can audit and programmability they have to trust.
